Tests

Driving test (Theory & Practical test)

In order to obtain a driving licence for an ordinary car (Category B), you must pass a driving test which consists of two parts, a theory test and a practical test.

Theory test

The theoretical test lasts approx. 30 minutes. The test can be taken in writing on a check sheet. In both tests, you will be shown 25 pictures, where there will be 2 – 4 questions per. picture. You must answer all questions correctly for a minimum of 20 out of 25 pictures. Ie. if you have more than one wrong answer for the same picture, it will be counted as an error, ie: max. 5 images with mistakes = 5 mistakes = passed.

For the theory test, remember to bring:

  • Application for a driving licence
  • Lesson plan (completed)
  • Passport or birth certificate; (if you do not have a passport or other type of photo ID), or any previously issued driving licence. If you are not a danish citizen, you must bring your residence permit and a valid passport from the country of which you are a citizen.
  • Covid-19 requirements must be met e.g. coronapas etc.

Practical test

The practical test lasts approx. 25 minutes to maximum 60 minutes. The test starts with the driving test examiner checking the coronapas / coronatest, the application for a driving licence, lesson plan and photo ID, then you have to answer approx. three questions regarding the vehicle, if the requirements of the law are fullfilled, i.e. that you must check e.g. tires, lights, shock absorber, horn etc. And last, you will drive with the driving test examiner according to his instructions.

For the practical test, remember to bring:
